i just bought myself a new pair of dirt bike boots... been wearing the same pair that i bought for ten bucks at a yard sale seven years ago. they sucked ass then and hurt my feet so bad after forty minutes of riding... so i bought some ones... totally useless purchase really. but i wanted them and so there they are... new boots....
anybody else buy something totally useless recently???

HELLS yes. Why have I decided I need 5 new pairs of Adidas? One pair I wear regularly. The others? Sit all pretty in my closet where the Lil Bastard can't get to them, so it's not like I can even admire them...

Yeah, I did. This summer I'm planning a tour to France, Belgium Holland and Germany. I speak French and English (so I can manage to be understood in all these places -most people in Holland speak English-, except Germany).
So I went to a blookstore, looked at the offers and bought this wonderful German dictionary. 'Cool'-I thought- 'I'll be able to communicate with the natives in their own language'.
I tried several times to memorise the easiest words/sentences from the first pages, but my brain absolutely refused. Too complicated for me.
So 6 euros (=7.7 USD) spent for nothing. I'll try in English, or in sign language.
I bought a beautiful bag (Brahmin croco, red arm tote)Thursday...useless for some but totally useful to me. Having a cocktail with it as we speak...

leni, nice one!!! a trip, never wasted money there... if i could give some advice to travelers... never buy any travel book dictionaries!!! the world speaks english!!! that sounds kind of assholish doesnt it...
meh, i learned more balinese in a day there travelin around then i did in a month of reading the translation guide...
